Shakespeare?s Julius Caesar is a historical tragedy that explores themes of power, ambition, loyalty, and betrayal. Set in ancient Rome, the play begins during the festival of Lupercalia, where Julius Caesar is celebrated for his military victories. However, beneath the surface of public admiration, political tensions simmer as various nobles, including Cassius and Brutus, express their concerns about Caesar's rising power and ambition.
