The Walker is closed on the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Gallery admission is always free on Thursday nights (5–9 PM) and the first Saturday of every month.

Parking Information:
Paid underground parking is available on-site. Enter the ramp on Vineland Place at Bryant Avenue. Accessible parking in the underground ramp is designated near the elevator and entrance. Metered on-street parking is available on the surrounding streets.

The Walker Art Center welcomes all visitors to engage with the multidisciplinary artwork of our time. The Walker is committed to partnering with d/Deaf and disabled communities to provide services to support visitors any day they choose to visit, as well as through a variety of free programs.

Accessible Parking
Accessible parking is available at Vineland Place Parking Ramp with a direct connection to the Walker Art Center. Note that the parking ramp entrance is 8 feet 2 inches high. For vehicles larger than this height, we recommend the surface lot, which is adjacent to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. There are 13 accessible parking spots on the P1 level of the ramp. Eleven of these spots have an adjacent loading area. Visitors can pay for parking at the gate when they leave the ramp or at a kiosk in the P1 corridor.

Vineland Place parking meters provide four-hour options for vehicles with disability license plates or certificates. The nearest parking meters to the main entrance are on the north side of Vineland Place, to the west of the main entrance.

Accessible Transport
Services such as Metro Mobility should be instructed to drop off and pick up passengers at 725 Vineland Place. There is a disability transfer zone to the west of the main entrance.

The Walker Art Center is where out-of-the-ordinary experiences create transformative connections. Located in the heart of Minneapolis, the Walker presents, collects, and supports the creation of groundbreaking work across the visual and performing arts, moving image, and design. The center engages communities through a dynamic array of exhibitions, performances, screenings, events, and initiatives. Our multi-acre campus includes 65,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space, the state-of-the-art McGuire Theater and the Walker Cinema. Just across the street, you’ll find the art-filled Minneapolis Sculpture Garden—free and open daily year-round, 6 am–12 midnight.
