Named 2023 Americana Artist of the Year at the Midwest Country Music Awards, Molly Brandt is making waves in the independent music scene. Drawing inspiration from songwriting legends, her songs weave tales of heartache, resilience, and triumph, delving into blue-collar struggles, dive bar revelries, long car rides, and cold-blooded revenge. Brandt captivates audiences with her fiery delivery, memorable attire, and evocative lyrics as she showcases powerful vocals, compelling storytelling, and unforgettable performances. Her 2023 debut album, Surrender to the Night, blends honky-tonk, countrypolitan and alt-rock influences. She returned to the studio in early 2024, exploring an even broader range of roots music. The result is her second album, American Saga, released in September of 2024, a collection of distinctly American stories, containing larger-than-life characters, place-based narratives, hard truths, and poignant messages. Exploring topics of addiction, misogyny, capitalism, death, abuse, and climate change, American Saga approaches the stylistic edges of Americana, creating something entirely new and unmistakably unique.

New Jersey-born, Brooklyn-based band Mojohand have been writing rocking, soul-soaked country songs and playing them in every bar, backyard, and basement willing to have them for the past seven years. Their energetic and melodic brand of rock & roll, ginger soul, and Jersey twang have won over crowds from coast to coast

For their third studio LP, Dungarees, Mojohand locked themselves in the live room at Business District Recording in Johnson City, NY and let the tape roll on a vintage 4-track ampex machine. The result is a timeless album that evokes the thousands of late nights onstage refining their raucous style and infectious songs, and the countless miles they?ve traveled together in their van chasing down the same promises that rock & roll has made with its fingers crossed for generations and generations.

Organization Details:

The 7th St Entry is a smaller venue attached to the historic First Avenue. This space was once used as a restaurant area (the “Greyhound Cafe”) in the former Greyhound bus station. “The Entry” opened its doors in March 1980 as a venue that catered to local bands. Today, national and local bands perform in the the 7th St Entry, and it’s known for its intimate vibe. Several recordings have been recorded live at The Entry, including The Scouting Report’s hit song “Over the Ocean”; Hüsker Dü’s first album, Land Speed Record; the song, “Cables,” on Big Black’s Atomizer album; Rifle Sport’s live album, Live at the Entry, Dead at the Exit; and Motion City Soundtrack’s Commit This to Memory live DVD.
