Registration for one child (age 8 - 11) — This pass provides one child with enrollment in this handcraft class. This is a drop-off program. This booking does not include museum admission. Adults may purchase museum admission when they drop their child off for the program or, they can leave once the child has checked-in with the instructor, Anna Ruhland. Adults must pick up their child promptly at 3:00 pm.

Make a Mother's Day Gift


Slöjd Studio is a new monthly program for children in grades 3?5. Participants will practice slöjd skills and explore new tools as they continue to nurture their lifelong love of handcraft. Although this drop-off program was designed as a continuation of Starting with Slöjd, participation in that program is not a prerequisite.

Anna Ruhland will teach young makers the basics of embroidery as they decorate a tea towel for their mothers on Mother?s Day.

The Museum, Cafe, and Store are closed New Years Day, 4th of July, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and December 26.

Parking Information:
Free parking is available in our surface parking lot, located at 27th Street and Park Avenue. Accessible parking is available on the northeast side of the parking lot. Free street parking is readily available on Park Avenue, Portland Avenue and 27th Street.

Accessibility Information:
ASI offers accessible parking, restrooms, listening amplification, and elevator service. Manual wheelchairs are available on request. Sign language interpreters can be arranged with notice and certified service animals are welcome. For more information, call 612-871-4907.
