Virtual Middle School Policy Debate Camp

Monday June 21, 2021 to Friday June 25, 2021

Is your student curious about how laws are made? Are they passionate about current affairs? Come to middle school policy debate camp and they can build their advocacy and leadership skills, while learning about the upcoming debate topic for the 2020-2021 school year. Middle school students entering 6th through 8th grade learn how to research and develop effective arguments, and have lots of practice debates and skill sessions. Students will build skills, work as a team, and make new friends!

Instructors will include Jake Swede, Program Director at the Minnesota Urban Debate League, and Jenna Randerson, Program Coordinator. Jake has experience competing in debate at the college level, coaching at the high school level, and instructing at debate camp for the past 5 years. Jenna is an experienced community educator. Both are Master of Arts in Education students at Augsburg University. Stay tuned as we announce more experienced and engaging staff members!
