Simple Weave
Join Swedish textile artist Kerstin Neumüller for a virtual lecture in honor of her newly translated book Simple Weave. Drawing from the Swedish rigid heddle weaving tradition, Kerstin began exploring what it meant to carve her own small looms in 2020. Her quirky designs featuring animals, people, and buildings attracted plenty of attention and led to the publication of a book in Sweden called Simple Weave in 2021, with an English translation scheduled for release on January 19, 2023! In this book talk, Kerstin will share her story of becoming a working craftsperson and author and her approach to the small weaving projects featured in this new book.
Simple Weave is available at the ASI Museum Store in both Swedish and English editions as of winter 2023.
