Event Details:

Starting with Slöjd: Fall Mobiles

Starting with Slöjd is a monthly program for early elementary children who are ready to start crafting! Whether we?re playing with wool, wire, clay, or more, we?ll explore new tools, materials, and skills that prepare kids for a lifelong love of handcraft, or slöjd. In October, we?ll use natural materials to create a mobile to hang in your yard or home to celebrate fall! We?ll practice threading and tying things together to assemble our fall mobiles, then take them home.

These drop off programs are suitable for students in grades K-3. Pre-registration required.

From the gallery spaces, featuring local and international exhibitions, to the lively programming set in the historic Turnblad Mansion, to the shop, and award winning restaurant and café – there are many ways to see yourself at ASI and be part of this story.
